Sir Winston Churchill Square is the cultural centrepiece of Edmonton's vibrant downtown. It was revitalized and re-opened on October 8, 2004 to commemorate Edmonton's 100th Birthday. Churchill Square is a great place to enjoy a relaxing lunch break, take a stroll with family and friends, or watch world-class performances and festivals year round.

Events at Churchill Square

Throughout the year large and small events are held at Churchill Square.  Events such as The Street Performers Festival, The Works, A Taste of Edmonton, Cariwest Festival and the CIBC Run for the Cure bring people to the square.  View our events calendar for upcoming events on the Square or join our email list by sending your email to civic.events@edmonton.ca.
